India, the second most populated country, is welcoming the SMEs from developed nations to collaborate with Indian SMEs for technology up-gradation and also to facilitate feasible business activities benefiting all. The Indian SME sector contributes 30% of the nation’s GDP and also anticipated to achieve a GDP of US $5 trillion by 2024. Also, 45% of India’s export business and 34% of manufacturing output depends on the Indian SME sector. India has emerged as third largest ecosystems for more successful start ups right behind China and US but ahead of Britain and Israel, according to Hurun Global Unicorn List 2019. India's start-up ecosystem has the potential to create up to 1.2 million direct jobs by 2025 according to a new report from industry body National Association of Software and Services Companies (Nasscom). The number of indirect jobs created by the start-up ecosystem in India can jump to 4.4 million by 2025 as per the report titled "India's Tech Start-up Ecosystem". The start-up landscape in the country is becoming the epitome of innovation, with companies bringing out solutions that are aimed at solving locally relevant issues. Though the Indian SME sector is burgeoning, the Indian government considering the influencing factors [such as social, economic, and environment], wants to strengthen the efficiency of the SME sector. Henceforth, the better business activities can be accomplished without compromising the aforementioned factors. For enhancing efficiency, the Indian government is stimulating global SMEs (e.g. Make in India, Make in India 2.0) to collaborate with the Indian SMEs – thereby achieving the sharing of technology, knowledge, and business.
