About the project:

The  Central Highlands Restoration Project(CHiRP) being piloted in Kabirdham District of Chhattisgarh State to restore the landscape in the region and helping the local stakeholders to elevate the Agroforestry sector and to improve their local economy. The ultimate aim of the call is to identify a competitive pool of global organizations that offer disruptive solutions focused on improving the yields and adding value to the Non-Timber Forest Products (NTFPs), local agriculture, food processing, and market linkages, and supply chain traceability of local produce.

  • Need to have customers or should have been deployed in the field

Possible forms of collaboration:

Once technologies are shortlisted, the Technology Working Group of the CHiRP project consisting of representatives from Commonland, TNC, Samerth, GBI will assess the path for deployment in the following ways, but not limited to:

  • Selected technology companies/applicants will be provided with mentorship and support on the ground to facilitate localization, deployment, and development of sustainable business models with the local ecosystem
  • Direct access to business opportunity and connect to ecosystem for deployment
  • Facilitating connections with the technology provider and the local rural entrepreneurs.
  • Facilitation of demonstrations / piloting opportunities
  • Scalable market access support in India for free - Market access and development with local ecosystem and connect with local partners, government, financing/investors, local NGOs
  • While this project starts with 10 villages, the aim will be to scale deployments across the State and then across the country
